From getting your leadership aligned on what's possible, through identifying the right opportunities, to building and deploying working tools — we can help at every stage.
Most AI wins hide in plain sight: repetitive document tasks, approval chains and data re-entry that cost your team hours every week. We find them, rank them by ROI, and tell you what to tackle first.
AI can route inbound requests, flag exceptions and prioritise queues — so your best people spend time on judgement, not triage.
Retrieval AI (RAG) lets your team ask questions of your documents, policies and past cases in plain English and get cited answers instantly. The expertise locked in files and people’s heads, made searchable and queryable.
Beyond answering questions: AI agents take multi-step actions autonomously — gathering data, drafting outputs, triggering downstream workflows — without human hand-holding at each step.
Before starting, your team needs a shared, grounded view of what AI can and can’t do. We run workshops to bring you up-to-speed and build the consensus to move fast.
The market shift is inevitable. To secure the long-term advantages of AI tomorrow, businesses must actively manage the security and operational risks of today.
Competitors leveraging AI will move faster, outpace your execution, and win market share.
Clients increasingly expect AI-enhanced service, faster turnaround times, and smarter business outputs.
Without clear guardrails, staff using public AI tools risk exposing proprietary company & client data.
Skipping strategy and rapid prototyping leads to expensive software that your team rejects.
Targeted automation lowers your operational costs and directly protects your bottom-line margins.
Harnessing your unique data and workflows builds a secure, proprietary competitive advantage.

Alan Bates is the founder of 10 Kinds, an AI consultancy helping businesses move from AI curiosity to practical implementation. He’s spent over 20 years working hands-on in technology, including multiple years at household names in media, telecoms and finance.
Alan also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration, giving him formal grounding on the commercial side as well as the technical.
His fluency in both business and tech means he can see what’s technically possible and what’s commercially worth doing, then translate between the two. He works with leadership teams to identify where AI can realistically add value, test those ideas through rapid prototyping, and move from one-off experiments to embedding AI throughout their organisation.
"I can talk ROI, priorities, and risk while translating between tech-speak and actual English"
We help you work out where AI is genuinely worth using, then make it happen — from setting the strategy to building and deploying working tools.
That means hands-on implementation, steering third-party developers, evaluating vendors, or providing ongoing strategic leadership — whatever you actually need.
That’s exactly what the free 30-minute call is for. Alan will give you a straight read on where AI could realistically add value for your business — and where it probably won’t. No obligation, no pitch.
No. We provide the AI expertise, so you don’t have to develop it in-house or take vendor claims at face value.
Usually with the AI Education & Alignment session - a half or full day that gets your leadership aligned on what’s possible, what’s hype, and where the real opportunities are. From there, you might move into an Advisory retainer, a prototype sprint, or straight into a build.
Both. We can run a full prototype sprint or custom build, work alongside your existing developers, or brief and oversee an external supplier. The right approach depends on what you’re building and what capability you already have.
Yes. Anything we build or specify runs on infrastructure scoped to your business, sees only the data it’s pointed at, and never feeds public AI models. Data governance is part of the conversation from day one.
Book a free 30-minute call. We’ll get to know your business, give you a straight read on where AI fits, and agree what the right next step looks like — whether that’s a workshop, a retainer, or something else entirely.
Half an hour to cut through the noise and find your first real AI opportunity.
No commitment. No sales pitch.
